At Fairway Auto Group, we believe there is a difference between a mission and a purpose. Our mission statement defines what we intend to do, while our purpose statement clarifies why we do it. We believe this is important to understand because the “reasons why, or purpose,” for each one in our company may differ. It would halt the growth of our organization to continually wait for everyone to have a unified purpose. On the other hand, we believe it is much easier to join in a mission, united around the specific objectives of our organization.
Our statement of purpose, found below, has been our reason for existing since our inception. We don’t require our team of associates to adopt our purpose, but choose to accept people just as they are. However, we do ask that each associate will wholeheartedly join in our mission.
OUR MISSION is to TREAT OTHERS THE WAY WE WOULD LIKE TO BE TREATED as we wholeheartedly SERVE, BUILD RELATIONSHIPS, and IMPACT people through the sales and servicing of vehicles.
Throughout the process of buying, selling and servicing vehicles, we cross paths with many people in the marketplace. From fellow employees, to customers, others dealers, vendors, and suppliers we have been given the opportunity to touch thousands of lives. Our intent is to never take this for granted, but to faithfully give of ourselves to meet each person’s individual needs while providing an experience that is fun, relaxed, and transparent.
We believe building strong relationships starts with treating others the way we would like to be treated. We strive to create an environment that places the greatest value on respect, integrity, and compassion. Our desire is to provide a positive and fulfilling experience to everyone we encounter, attempting to put their needs and interests above our own.
Possibly our greatest desire at Fairway is to make a difference in this world where the needs of humanity are more vast and visible than ever before. Fairway is a collection of individuals who have united around a belief that we can spend our days in the marketplace with passion for our mission, and having a significant and lasting impact on each person we encounter.
Ministry in the marketplace is a subject that has gained much attention in recent years. While profit seems to be the mission of most companies, we believe it is possible that business can be used as a platform for some other purpose. Without a doubt profit is vital for the success of a business, and we at Fairway certainly endeavor to be excellent in all we do. However, we’re convinced that while profitability is necessary, we don’t believe that it satisfies as a worthy purpose.
Business is one of the greatest platforms in the world to connect with people. Business opens doors to build relationships with people in our community as well as around the world. At Fairway, we desire to be intentional with these opportunities. As we encounter others in the marketplace, our hope is to be a blessing.
Being a part of something bigger than ourselves is a longing that most everyone possesses. To find a life of purpose, we cannot overlook the importance of how we spend our days in the marketplace. While our mission is to wholeheartedly serve, build relationships, and impact people, our purpose defines why we do it. Our Leadership Team at Fairway Auto Group is convinced that our purpose and reason why we exist today has been made clear.
Our Purpose is to GLORIFY GOD by being faithful with all that He has entrusted to us.
“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” Matthew 5:16
This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. John 15:8
